He is facing 14 charges, including dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, driving unlicensed, and failing to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing death. “I only saw them the day before and they gave me big hugs and cuddles and said, ‘Dad, we love you, we’ll see you on the 17th’,” Mr Shorey told the publication. However, Mr Shorey told The Dubbo News that a portion of that money had now been used to cover the legal costs of the Supreme Court case.
