Sir Don Bradman’s baggy green to be auctioned after being embroiled in $1.3 million fraud

Bradman gave the baggy green to family friend Peter Dunham who was recently jailed for a $1.3 million fraud, according to Wide World of Sports. The baggy green, from Bradman’s debut Test series in 1928/29, will be auctioned off on Thursday via Pickles.com.au. Bradman’s baggy green was put forward by Dunham’s victims as a means of paying off some of his debts. Bradman’s 1948 ‘Invincibles’ Ashes tour baggy green was previously sold at auction for $425,000 in 2003. Meanwhile Shane Warne’s baggy green was sold at auction for more than $1 million this year, after he donated it in a bid to raise money for the bushfire relief appeal.
