A teenage boy has been flown to hospital in a critical condition after being pulled unresponsive from the water at a caravan park in Sydney’s northwest. Paramedics have praised the actions of bystanders who were faced with a “devastating” scene in Sackville on Monday afternoon. Members of the public performed CPR on the boy as they waited for NSW Ambulance paramedics to arrive on the scene at Tizzana Road. Three NSW Ambulance crews and the Care Flight rapid response helicopter were dispatched to the scene. NSW Ambulance Inspector Nathan Sheraton said the incident was a reminder to take care around waterways during Sydney’s heatwave.
