A Sydney real estate agent has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged late-night sword attack at a home in the inner west. Karl Howard, 44, was arrested early on Monday morning after emergency services were told two injured women knocked on a neighbour’s door for help. Police allege Mr Howard punched a 27-year-old woman in the head before a 29-year-old woman intervened. Mr Howard, a real estate agent with Ray White in Sydney’s Balmain suburb, was stood down from his job pending the outcome of the police investigation and court proceedings, the company said in a statement. “The Ray White Group is an Australian family-owned and led business and it expects a high standard of personal conduct from its members,” a spokeswoman said.
