Dozens of new exposure sites have been listed across NSW, including in the northern most part – sparking fears the virus could be running unchecked throughout the state. It comes as Byron Bay, Richmond Valley, Lismore and Ballina local government areas enter their second day of a week-long lockdown to allow authorities time to trace all contacts. The Byron Bay Shire mayor Michael Lyon has told The Daily Telegraph the man at the centre of the lockdown “may be charged”. The Newcastle region is also on high alert, with NSW Health listing a barber and bus routes as close contact exposure sites. NSW Health has also added the following sites in Sydney and Newcastle as close contact exposure sites:Silver Jubilee Park Children’s Playground , Bardwell Valley: Saturday, August 7, 3.15pm to 5pm.
