Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has outlined an easing of restrictions as the state emerges from its fifth lockdown. The state recorded eight new locally acquired infections on Wednesday as Victorians emerged from a strict fifth lockdown. The health department also said all of the new cases had been in quarantine throughout their entire infectious period. It comes as Premier Daniel Andrews lifted the state’s fifth lockdown overnight. Mr Andrews said having all new cases in isolation during their infectious period was a “fantastic result”.
